Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What materials are used in the STAUB Rice Spoon?

Answer: The STAUB Rice Spoon is crafted from durable BPA-free matte black silicone and features a stylish acacia wood handle. The silicone is food-safe and designed to withstand high temperatures, making it ideal for various cooking tasks. The acacia wood handle adds a natural aesthetic while providing a comfortable grip, making it easy to serve rice and other dishes. This combination of materials ensures safety for nonstick cooking surfaces, preventing scratches and preserving your cookware.
  • Question: Is the STAUB Rice Spoon safe for nonstick cookware?

Answer: Yes, the STAUB Rice Spoon is specifically designed to be safe for nonstick cooking surfaces. The silicone material is gentle and won’t scratch or damage your nonstick pots and pans. This is particularly important as many cooking enthusiasts seek tools that help maintain the integrity of their cookware while ensuring optimal cooking performance. Feel free to use this spoon to scoop rice from your nonstick rice cooker without worrying about damaging the surface.
  • Question: What are the dimensions of the STAUB Rice Spoon?

Answer: The STAUB Rice Spoon measures 8.75 x 3 x 0.75 inches, making it the perfect size for scooping and serving rice without spilling. Its elongated shape allows for easy maneuverability in deep pots or rice cookers, while the slightly tapered edges provide an optimal form for lifting and fluffing rice. This size is designed to help you serve the perfect portion of fluffy rice every time, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for you and your guests.
  • Question: Can I use the STAUB Rice Spoon for other foods?

Answer: Absolutely! While the STAUB Rice Spoon is perfect for keeping rice fluffy while scooping and serving, its design makes it versatile for various applications. You can use it for serving grains like quinoa, couscous, and even veggies or stews. The nonstick silicone helps to lift foods easily without sticking, allowing you to present your dishes beautifully. It's a great tool to have when hosting gatherings or cooking family meals.
  • Question: How do I care for the STAUB Rice Spoon?

Answer: To maintain the STAUB Rice Spoon, simply wash it with warm soapy water after each use and rinse thoroughly. The silicone material is resistant to stains and odors, ensuring it remains hygienic. For the wood handle, avoid soaking it in water; instead, wipe it clean with a damp cloth to preserve its integrity. This simple care routine will keep your rice spoon looking great and performing well for all your culinary adventures.
  • Question: Is the STAUB Rice Spoon dishwasher safe?

Answer: Yes, the STAUB Rice Spoon is dishwasher safe. However, to preserve the quality of the acacia wood handle, it is recommended to place the spoon on the top rack of the dishwasher. This precaution helps to prevent exposure to excess heat and moisture, which can affect the wood over time. If you prefer to hand wash, that's also an excellent way to ensure its longevity while keeping it clean and well-maintained.
  • Question: What makes the STAUB Rice Spoon unique compared to other spoons?

Answer: The STAUB Rice Spoon stands out due to its thoughtful design and premium materials. Its BPA-free silicone body is not only safe for food but also crafted to help keep rice fluffy by allowing steam to escape, preventing clumping. Moreover, the combination of a matte black finish with the natural acacia wood handle offers both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality, making it a stylish addition to your kitchen utensils.
  • Question: Can I use the STAUB Rice Spoon for serving hot foods?

Answer: Yes, the STAUB Rice Spoon is designed to handle hot foods seamlessly. The silicone material is heat-resistant, making it safe to use with hot rice and other cooked dishes directly from the stove or oven.
