Philips Scene Switch LED E14 Small Edison Screw Candle Light Bulb, 3 Step Dimming, Natural Light, Cosy Light, 5.5 W (40 W) - Warm White [Energy Class

The Philips Scene Switch LED E14 Small Edison Screw Candle Light Bulb is a good choice for those looking for a dimmable light bulb. It has three different levels of brightness, which can be adjusted by rapidly switching the supply on and off. This bulb is not compatible with a dimmer switch. One customer mentioned that the bulb has a slightly different dimming mechanism compared to their previous bulb. Instead of brightening in three steps when the lamp is touched, this bulb switches off between each step, requiring six "touches" instead of three. However, this was not seen as a major problem. Another customer mentioned that the bulb leaves a pattern on the shade when at its lowest level. This is due to the design of the bulb, which is surrounded by a little "crown" of glass to dissipate the light. However, this design feature is not present in older style plain bulbs. There were mixed reviews regarding the stability and accuracy of the dimming function. Some customers experienced issues with the stepping action, often requiring several taps of the lamp to take effect. However, others found the bulb to work well and were happy with the ability to change the brightness of their bedside lamps. Overall, the Philips Scene Switch LED E14 Small Edison Screw Candle Light Bulb offers a convenient and adjustable lighting solution. It may have some design quirks and varying experiences with the dimming function, but it provides a warm and pleasant light for different settings.
