DESCRIÇÃO DO PRODUTO
Aftermath UK Version
About This Item
Introducing the Aftermath UK Version! Experience the Rolling Stones' iconic 1966 album in its original and authentic form. This is the album that American listeners may have missed out on, as the British group's early recordings were not immediately released across the Atlantic. Before ABKCO's reissue program, the US versions of the Stones' albums were considered the standard on CD.
However, the UK version of Aftermath offers a unique and distinct musical experience. With a shuffled track lineup and additional songs, this album sets a different mood compared to its American counterpart. Imagine starting off your listening journey with the snotty social commentary of "Mother's Little Helper," followed by the punky misogyny of "Stupid Girl," "Lady Jane," "Under My Thumb," and "Dontcha Bother Me." This series of tracks is like a pentathlon that challenges societal norms.
And just when you think the album has shown its rebellious side, it surprises you with the grinding blues jam of "Goin' Home." The second side of Aftermath UK Version offers even more emotional variety and musical exploration. Songs like "Take It Or Leave It" and "What To Do" add a poppy touch to an already impressive collection of tunes. But the highlight of this side is the stunning full-length version of "Out of Time." This extended masterpiece, for some reason, had never been released in the United States until this reissue.
If you're a fan of the Rolling Stones or a music enthusiast searching for a unique listening experience, the Aftermath UK Version is a must-have addition to your collection. Immerse yourself in the original sound that captivated British audiences in the '60s and discover why this album holds a special place in the history of rock music. Don't miss out on this belated reissue of a true classic.

The Rolling Stones (Artist) Format: Audio CD British Invasion 1982862 Editorial Review
Aftermath UK Version is a pivotal album in the Rolling Stones' discography, capturing their transition to a more composed sound primarily written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. The 2002 remastering offers impeccable audio quality, enhancing tracks like 'Mother's Little Helper' and 'High And Dry', providing listeners a richer experience. Fans appreciate the expanded UK version that includes three additional tracks compared to its US counterpart, making it a more comprehensive collection. While songs such as 'Going Home' might feel lengthy for some, the overall craftsmanship and musical diversity in this remastered version is highly praised.
