The Garrett Pro-Pointer II is a metal detector that is made in the USA and can detect any type of metal, even solid gold, although it has no discrimination. The only difference between this product and the Garrett Pro Pointer I is a lost alarm, which the Pro-Pointer II has. It should be able to detect nails 1/2 inch below the surface of maple wood, and is sensitive enough to detect a steel BB at three inches. It is not possible to set it to vibrate only, and the sensitivity of the Pro-Pointer II cannot be adjusted. It is recommended for beginners as it is easy to use and can zero in on the target.
