Resposta: I use it on my 36-gallon acrylic bowfront aquarium. It's working great for mine at low speed. Sometimes I even put it up a few! -

Can this be mounted vertically?
Resposta: Yes, it can be. You may need to adjust the direction of water flow from the gyre. Mounting vertically will change the general flow of the water movement. On YouTube, many people with peninsula style have them mounted vertically alongside the overflow. -

I have a 40-gallon breeder, would this be too much?
Resposta: Actually would be just right and you can always choose a lower setting. -

How long is the power cord?
Resposta: About 4 feet from power head to control box then other power cord is probably 3 feet.
