Have you ever wished to add control voltage to a parameter on your synthesizer or circuit bent toy? Now you can, with the Vac Pak PCB! This vactrol-based control voltage to variable resistance circuit is designed to enhance your creativity and take your sound manipulation to the next level. With the Vac Pak, connecting your CV source to the input jack is a breeze. Adjusting the Scale and Offset trim pots allows you to dial in your optimal resistance, ranging from approximately 300 ohms to 10M. Please note that different vactrols may have slight variations in their resistance range. Transform your circuit into a variable resistor by connecting the wires from J4.

For added convenience, you can even daisy-chain multiple Vac Paks together using the remaining connector (J2 or J3) and power them from the same source. Powering the Vac Pak is simple – you can either use a 9V battery clip wired to J2 or J3, or tap into your circuit's on-board voltage source. Thanks to the onboard 5V regulator, the Vac Pak can be powered with a range of 6-18V DC, giving you flexibility and convenience. We do want to provide a gentle reminder: please exercise caution and avoid exceeding +10V DC on the CV input. Applying more voltage may result in damage to your vactrol. Please note: The Synthrotek Vac Pak PCB includes the PCBs and panel only.
